Well done to Eamonn Mullen completeing his first Marathon.

Eamonn only started running this year.
Just goes to show if put your mind to it and train properly you can do the Marathon too!

Next year we want to see more Slane members take up the Challenge of the Marathon!

Well worth it!!

RUNWORX SLANE CASTLE RUN 2011

Thank you to everyone who took part in the "Runworx Slane Castle Run 2011".

We were delighted at the attendance for our first year.

We hope you enjoyed the day and the fete that took place afterwards.

Both the 10 mile and the and 5km were good testing courses, especially the 10mile, which should provide good training for any of you who are training for the Marathon this year.

As this was our first year we did have a couple of problems in registration, which resulted from an external factor.

The process took longer than normal and should not happen again.

We will strive to improve for next years event and hope to see you all again next year.
